The Denver Broncos blew a chance to win a tough road game last week and are now down a game to their AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers. They have a chance to even the score and return to a first-place tie in the division with a win today, but a loss creates a very big hole to climb out of just three games into the season.
Kickoff is set for 2:05 p.m. Mile High time on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. You can watch the live stream of the game through FuboTV or on CBS. The game will be called by Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), Trent Green (analyst), and Melanie Collins (sideline). You can also check local Broncos radio network affiliate stations.
Broncos vs. Chargers score predictions
According to FanDuel, the Broncos opened 2.5-point underdogs, but the line grew to 3 by Sunday. Until the Broncos prove they can win close games against playoff-caliber opponents, I’m no longer going to sip the Kool-Aid. They are 2-7 against teams in one-score games since the start of 2024 and two of those losses came against these very same Chargers. Their only wins against the hapless New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. They have got to figure this our or they’ll be a fringe .500 football team.
Prediction:Chargers 23, Broncos 20.

Herbert throws incomplete, but another flag. Illegal formation on the Chargers and it’s 3rd down
— MileHighReport (@MileHighReport) September 21, 2025
Quentin Johnston catches a third-down pass and then breaks a tackle to pick up an extra chunk of yardage.
Chargers into the red zone.

Again, a nice red-zone series by the #Broncos‘ defense. Jonah Elliss generates some pressure, Jahdae Barron nice coverage.
But #Broncos give up points on opening drive for third straight game. Not something Sean Payton’s been happy with. 3-0 Chargers

Dicker is GOOD from 32 yards
Broncos: 0

Broncos start three and out.

3rd and 3..
SACK!!! DJ JONES

#Broncos were off the field but Nik Bonitto lined up in the neutral zone on the punt. First down instead of fourth-and-4.
Yet another special teams error early in the year for Darren Rizzi’s group.
— Parker Gabriel (@ParkerJGabriel) September 21, 2025
Jonah Elliss with a big impact early. Couple pressures on Justin Herbert, #Broncos continue to find ways to get Elliss on the field early this year
— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) September 21, 2025
HECKUVA hit by Talanoa Hufanga to force the PBU and incompletion.

Mims with a great return of 33 yards!!
— MileHighReport (@MileHighReport) September 21, 2025
Adam Trautman flagged for holding. Had the face-mask call last week. Two double-digit yardage penalties in two games
— Andrew Mason (@MaseDenver) September 21, 2025
Through 2.25 games, Denver looks like a poorly coached football team.
— Jeffrey Essary (@JeffreyEssary) September 21, 2025
Two drives apiece and so far the #Broncos have 16 offensive yards and 33 penalty yards.
— Parker Gabriel (@ParkerJGabriel) September 21, 2025
Nik Bonitto is there IMMEDIATELY.
That one never had a chance for the Chargers, as Herbert is sacked on first down.
— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) September 21, 2025
And there’s another one.
Jonathon Cooper gets to Herbert, and Denver forces a three-and-out.
That’s three sacks already for the Broncos’ defense.
