Basketball season is right around the corner as the first day of autumn is finally here. For the North Carolina Tar Heels, excitement has been building throughout the offseason as the program has a new look for the roster this season.
Hubert Davis and his staff worked hard throughout the offseason, landing talent in the transfer portal as well as bringing in a top 10 recruiting class. The Tar Heels will only have one returning starter from a year ago as some fresh faces are now on campus.
And it won’t be long before we get our first look at the program.
On Monday, the program announced the information for the Blue-White scrimmage, which unofficially tips off the 2025-26 season. The event will take place on Saturday, October 4th right after the football game against Clemson at Kenan Memorial Stadium. That game kicks off at noon.

The event will have free admission for fans as the scrimmage will showcase the new team. There is also the option for a one-item postgame autograph session for the team with a reserved seat as well.
While it’s not Late Night like we’ve had in the past, it’s still a fun event for fans to attend and gives us an early taste of basketball as practices begin. Let’s hope it’s a big day on campus for UNC athletics.
