Steelers select standout Oregon Ducks QB in new 2026 NFL mock draft

Look out Steelers fans, Pittsburgh was mocked to pick one of college football’s rising stars — and it isn’t Texas Longhorn QB Arch Manning or Penn State Nittany Lion QB Drew Allar.

In a new 2026 NFL mock draft by CBS Sports’ Mike Renner, the Steelers were projected to select Oregon Ducks QB Dante Moore with pick No. 12 in the first round.

“Moore has been the breakout star at the quarterback position this season,” Renner wrote. “After starting his career at UCLA, Moore sat behind Dillon Gabriel last year. In four games this season, his arm talent and athleticism are on full display. He’s averaging over 10.0 yards per attempt so far. If he continues to impress this weekend against Penn State, Moore could even soar higher than this.”

In his first four games of the 2025 collegiate season, Moore has thrown for 962 yards, 11 touchdowns, and just one interception, leading his Ducks to four straight wins.

While we’re still almost seven months away from the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, an exciting event for Steelers Nation, Moore would be the perfect selection to send the in-person Black and Gold faithful into a frenzy.
