There is no love lost between the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons, who went through a bitter, public breakup at the end of the NFL offseason. The public feud featured a war of words in the media, countless podcast appearances, trade rumors and plenty of hurt feelings along the way.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones eventually relented, opting to trade the star player to the Green Bay Packers. Parsons not only got a fresh start but also a new $186 million contract to accompany it.
Like every movie or show ever created, the exes are about to see each other with their new significant other as the NFL schedule flips to Week 4. Better yet, this won’t be in a restaurant or random store in the mall.
It’s about to happen on national television, under the bright lights of “Sunday Night Football.”

The Cowboys will not have a tribute video for Parsons on Sunday night.
“It’s not appropriate,” Jones told All City DLLS’ Clarence Hill Jr. on Sept. 22.
Jones hasn’t hid his displeasure with how the negotiations played out, routinely taking aim at Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, throughout the process – especially during an appearance on Michael Irvin’s YouTube channel in August.
“When we wanted to send the [contract] details to the agent, the agent told us to stick it up our ass,” Jones said. “Micah and I talked and then we were gonna send it over to the agent. We had our agreements on term, amount, guarantees, everything.”
Sunday night will be Parsons’ return to AT&T Stadium, where he played home games for the first four seasons of his career.
The All-Pro has been a model of consistency as a game-wrecker off the edge, totaling 52.5 sacks in 63 games with the Cowboys. Now, for the first time, the Cowboys will experience what it’s like from the other side.
