NFL fines Steelers’ DeShon Elliott over wrong color towel, sparks profanity-filled rant

Pittsburgh Steelers S DeShon Elliott has a bone to pick with the NFL — which recently fined him for wearing a black towel on game day, prompting a profane response on social media.

Following Elliott’s fine, the Steelers safety took to Instagram to blast the NFL for worrying about the “wrong things,” calling on the league to fix more important issues plaguing the game today.

“Count your f—— days,” Elliott wrote on his Instagram story. “Y’all worried about the wrong things. Let’s fix things that actually mean something.”

Elliott can still appeal the fine, which would trigger a scheduled hearing — but it remains to be seen if the dynamic defensive back will pursue these measures.

In Pittsburgh’s Week 4 win over the Minnesota Vikings, Elliott’s performance still outshined any pointless fine from the NFL — putting together six tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and one interception.
