Mississippi State's uniform vs. Texas A&M's all-black look revealed

No. 6 Texas A&M (4-0, 1-0 SEC) will host Mississippi State (4-1, 0-1 SEC) for a primetime showdown inside what could be another sold-out Kyle Field. The Aggies will unveil their new blackout look, which will be similar to last season’s blackout during Texas A&M’s 38-23 comeback win over LSU. However, what the Bulldogs will wear has become the latest focus.

Mississippi State’s colors, like those of Texas A&M, are maroon and white. Although the shade of maroon is lighter, both teams must stand out, which won’t be an issue on Saturday night.

The Aggies’ all black look won’t clash with anything outside of the same color, and thanks to Mississippi State’s media team, which revealed through a new video that the Bulldogs will also go with their white script helmets, white jerseys, and dark maroon pants. It’s now expected that every team that adopts the all-black look will face a nearly all-white look.

Since entering the SEC before the 2012 season, Mississippi State has been a proverbial thorn in the Aggies’ side, and while Texas A&M leads 7-6 since that span, including back-to-back wins over the last two seasons, this 2025 roster is much more talented than years past and was close to defeating Tennessee before falling to the Volunteers last Saturday.

For Texas A&M to protect its home field, the Aggies will need a balanced offensive attack and a defense that prevents explosive plays.
