Bayern Munich top striker Harry Kane confirmed that he will travel to join the England squad despite an injury scare in the Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

Kane became the first player in the Bundesliga to score 11 goals on the first six matchdays of a season as he netted the second goal in Bayern’s 3-0 win.

But with 10 minutes left, Kane took a tumble after colliding with Frankfurt goalkeeper Kauã Santos and initially needed treatment on his right ankle.

He was, however, able to play again before being subbed off in the 85th minute.

“I’m okay. It was a contact to the bone. I had it a few weeks ago, and it was in the same spot today. A few days and it’ll be fine,” the England captain said.

Asked whether he will travel to the national team, he replied: “Yes I’ll be there Monday.”

England have a friendly match against Wales on Thursday before resuming the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Latvia on October 14.

Kane also praised his Bayern team, who not top the Bundesliga four points ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund and with six wins in as many league games.

“We have momentum to our side right now and we need to hold on to that. Now we’re travelling to the national teams and then we have a massive game at home against Dortmund,” he said.
