Wisconsin class of 2026 commit Amari Latimer took a visit to Ohio State on Saturday, according to Rivals/On3’s Steve Wiltfong.
Latimer has been committed to the Badgers since late June. At the time, the four-star running back chose the program over finalists Michigan, Florida State, Georgia, Texas and Tennessee. However, first Georgia, and now Ohio State, have continued their courting of the top-ranked running back. Despite his verbal commitment to the Badgers, Latimer’s recruitment appears far from over.
247Sports currently ranks Latimer as the No. 378 overall player in the class of 2026, the No. 24 running back and the No. 40 recruit from his home state of Georgia. As of Oct. 5, neither 247Sports nor Rivals/On3 are officially predicting him to flip his commitment.
Notably, Latimer’s visit to Ohio State follows Wisconsin’s significant on-field struggles to open the 2025 season. The Badgers are 2-3 through five games, with consecutive multi-score losses to Alabama, Maryland and Michigan, respectively. Ohio State, meanwhile, is 4-0 to start the season and is the current No. 1 team in the AP Poll.
