The went a bit overboard with the tush push in the first half of the Week 6 game against the .

In the second quarter, the Eagles ran the controversial play four times in a row starting at the three-yard line. The fourth tush push found pay dirt for Philly, giving the Eagles a 17-13 lead.

After that series, linebacker Micah Parsons, who is no stranger to the tush push from his days with the , was disgusted at what the Eagles did.

As if it wasn’t bad enough that the Eagles ran the tush push four times in a row, Giants defensive lineman D.J. Davidson suffered an injury and had to be carted to the locker room.

There has been no shortage of controversy when it comes to the tush push and there was even a debate about banning the play.

However, when it came to a vote on a proposal to ban the play, it fell short, with 22 out 32 teams voting in favor of the proposal. Unfortunately, it needed 24 votes to pass.

“We’re trying to worry about what we’re doing in here,” Eagles center Jurgens said. “If the league wants to come down and say something and make an emphasis with the rules, we’re going to take that into account. But it’s the same thing going forward — playing Eagle football.”

The play has been surrounded by even more controversy lately, as Eagles linemen have been spotted moving before the snap, something officials always miss.

It happened again on Thursday night against the Giants, but no flag was thrown.
