Seahawks vs. Jaguars: 3 X-factors on offense for Week 6

The Seattle Seahawks have a tricky matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend. Liam Coen’s competitive Jaguars are in contention for the AFC South division title. We’ve identified some potential X-factors for the Seahawks’ offense in a tough Week 6 showdown with Anthony Campanile’s aggressive defense.

Zach Charbonnet, RB

The Seahawks continue to employ a by-committee approach at running back. The Jaguars have surprisingly fielded one of the most effective run-defense units in the NFL this season. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak needs his run-game to be impactful, and that means using Zach Charbonnet as a change-of-pace ball carrier.

Tory Horton, WR

Rookie wide receiver Tory Horton has been occasionally dynamic on both special teams and offense this season. Horton is a potential game-breaker with the speed to create explosive plays in multiple phases. Campanile’s defense has struggled to defend the pass this year, so Sam Darnold may have opportunities to target his rookie playmaker deep.

Grey Zabel, IOL

First-round pick Grey Zabel has been as advertised at left guard, meeting expectations. The Jaguars have an underrated group of interior defensive linemen, usually spearheaded by Arik Armstead, Austin Johnson, and DaVon Hamilton. Zabel will draw some difficult assignments against seasoned defensive tackles.
