Ohio State football issues availability and injury report for Illinois game

It’s another Ohio State game day, and as we get ready for kickoff at Noon ET, the Buckeyes have just released their player “availability report for the contest on the road against Illinois. Ohio State stopped issuing an official injury report a few years ago, and it doesn’t list why a player is out; it simply notes whether a player is out or questionable.

In this case, OSU will be without two key players against the Illini. Starting nickelback Lorenzo Styles Jr. is listed as out, as is key defensive tackle Eddrick Houston. Both have dealt with some injuries this year. Styles went down with a shoulder injury a couple of games ago, while Houston has been working through a nagging leg injury.

There are others not available for the game, but nobody that is in the key two-deep, but rather depth pieces. Here is the official availability report for Saturday vs. a ranked Illinois team. No player is listed as questionable. Of note, however, is that defensive end Kenyatta Jackson Jr.is available despite leaving the game against Minnesota with an upper-body stinger.
