If you’re watching the Seattle Mariners as they try to make their first run to the World Series in franchise history — that’s right, they’ve never even been to the Fall Classic — you may have noticed something red on the sleeves of their uniforms.
If you’re squinting and maybe see a Nintendo logo on there? You’re correct! Earlier this year, the franchise announced a partnership with Nintendo (which owned an interest in the Mariners sold to John Stanton in 2016, but the company has a 10 percent stake still). Home uniforms would have the usual Nintendo logo and the Switch 2 logo would be on away jerseys.
