The rolled into Arrowhead Stadium to take on the , and while the AFC champs aren’t seen as a top contender, at least now, the Lions knew they would need all their weapons to help pull out a win.

As such, it would be fair to think that receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit’s best offensive weapon, would have a big say in proceedings, right? Well, not exactly, at least early on.

With the Chiefs leading 6-3 at the end of the first quarter, St. Brown had just one reception for zero yards and a two-yard rush.

That isn’t enough for No. 14.

The Lions got the ball first, and Jared Goff led a 19-play, 70-yard drive that took 9:59 off the clock before Detroit had to settle for a field goal, and St. Brown was barely featured.

We imagine that he will get involved during the game, but in the first quarter? He was a non-factor.

St. Brown in great form in 2025

Yes, his first quarter against the Chiefs was quiet, but in the first five weeks, St. Brown has been a star.

He’s posted at least 45 yards and four receptions in every game, which includes two 100-yard games, and he has hauled in six receiving touchdowns to be one of Goff’s favorite targets.

Coming off an All-Pro year in 2024, St. Brown has hit the ground running, as the Lions’ offense, which was wobbly in Week 1, has since found its rhythm and is blowing teams out.

While that might not be the case against the Chiefs, St. Brown certainly needs to get more involved if the Lions are to win this game.
