Vinicius Jr
Clearly, Vinicius Jr just can’t stay out of the headlines at the start of this season.
While Lamine Yamal made waves last July for his controversial birthday celebration, Vinicius Junior is now in the spotlight for similar reasons. The Brazilian forward celebrated his 25th birthday on July 12, throwing a lavish party in Rio de Janeiro several days later (from July 19 until the early hours of July 21). The guest list featured major stars, including singer Anita and his Real Madrid teammate Eduardo Camavinga. Concerts were held, with Travis Scott among the performers. However, Real Madrid’s number 7 ended up disturbing his neighbors.
According to Marca, the Merengue striker is being prosecuted by one of his neighbors in Brazil for allegedly “disturbing the work or peace of others.” The complainant called the military police, who arrived on the scene and reported that the music was extremely loud. In addition to fireworks, shouting was also heard. Vinicius Jr and his guests were asked to turn down the volume, which they did—only to crank it back up once the police had left. A preliminary hearing is set for November 6. Vinicius Junior faces a potential penalty ranging from 15 days to 3 months in prison, or a fine.
