Highest, lowest PFF grades from Georgia football's win at Auburn

The No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs (5-1) faced another SEC road test in their 20-10 win against the Auburn Tigers (3-3). Many believed the Tigers would give the Bulldogs a loss with the Tigers retiring Cam Newton’s jersey that evening.

The Bulldogs’ first loss came to the No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide (5-1). With the competitiveness of the SEC, the Bulldogs had little margin for error left, so they needed to avoid an upset against the Tigers.

The Bulldogs achieved that goal, winning despite a tough first half for Georgia, with Auburn only a goal-line fumble away from taking a 17-0 lead. Still, that goal-line fumble allowed Georgia to make it 10-3 by the end of the first half, and through the second half, it was all Bulldogs. Georgia scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to defeat the Tigers.

CJ Allen stood out as a major contributor on the defense, forcing the goal-line fumble that ultimately turned the game around. Chauncey Bowens was excellent again despite an injury, and offensive lineman Dontrell Glover is a freshman standout. The Bulldogs will play the Ole Miss Rebels (6-0) for a shot at leading the SEC in conference wins.
