BOOM! Ohio State football gets commitment from 2026 defensive back

We’ve had a couple of recruiting tidbits over the last week, right in the midst of what could be a pretty special run for the Ohio State football team. First, we got news of an offensive tackle flip to Ohio State, and now a commitment via the traditional means, with the verbal pledge of three-star safety Khmari Bing.

Out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Bing is ranked as the No. 78 cornerback and 919th overall prospect in the 2026 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is being recruited to play safety with the Buckeyes. He chose OSU over Alabama, Indiana, Maryland, Auburn, and others.

Bing’s commitment makes it 22 total verbal pledges for the 2026 class, and we can probably expect to see some more movement as the Early Signing Period in December gets closer.

In the meantime, Ohio State will be back on the football field this Saturday when it takes on Wisconsin on the road. We’ll have more on that leading up to, during, and after the game.
