Flower Mound Marcus takes on Denton Guyer, which is currently leading the conference along with Lewisville.

Guyer is 3-0 in district play on the heels of knocking off Coppell and Lewisville Hebron. The Wildcats are 4-2 overall, with their only two losses coming to Aledo and to defending UIL 6A Division I champion North Crowley.

Marcus enters Thursday’s game at 3-2 overall and 1-2 in district play, though the Marauders are coming off a win last week against Denton Braswell.

FIRST QUARTER

TOUCHDOWN MARCUS. Marauders recover a Guyer fumble deep in Wildcat territory and they cash it in as QB Colton Nussmeier connects with Berrington Kogler from 6 yards out, and the PAT ties this one up. (7-7 | 5:54, 1st) 

TOUCHDOWN GUYER. On the Wildcats’ second play from scrimmage, Zephyr Kreye throws a deep ball right in the bucket to Tristan Shelton for a 51-yard TD pass. PAT is good. (Guyer, 7-0 | 9:44, 1st) 

– Guyer forces a three-and-out on the opening series, forcing Marcus to punt, and the Wildcats get a solid return out to near midfield. 

– Marcus will start the game on offense, as the Marauders receive the opening kickoff.
