Texas A&M has already received predictions to land three of the top-ranked prospects in the 2027 class, including five-star cornerback John Meredith, and four-star safety Kamarui Dorsey, who will announce his commitment on November 1. Last weekend, head coach Mike Elko and his staff hosted 20-plus prospects in the 2027 cycle, including four-star standout edge Jaiden Bryant.
I don’t need to remind you of how victorious Texas A&M, especially under Mike Elko, has been at recruiting and landing elite defensive line prospects, which now includes three of the top-ranked edge prospects in the 2026 cycle. Bryant, who is by far one of the most productive defenders in the 2027 class, recorded 136 tackles, 21.5 sacks, 31 tackles for loss, and 10 pass breakups over his last two seasons, including 18.5 sacks during his 2024 sophomore season.
Watching Texas A&M defeat Florida 34-17 behind another elite defensive performance, Bryant was reportedly impressed enough to schedule another unofficial visit to College Station on November 22 during Texas A&M’s final home game of the season vs. Samford.
Bryant will also take visits to Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Miami, and LSU over the next seven weeks. Still, this is an excellent sign for the Aggies, knowing that the on-field performance paired with strong relationships has made Texas A&M one of the top options for the four-star pass rusher.
According to 247Sports, Bryant is currently positioned as the 79th-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the 9th-ranked edge, and the 2nd-ranked prospect in South Carolina.
