How many points did Egor Dёmin score in preseason debut? Nets vs. Raptors box score

Rookie Egor Dёmin finished in double figures on Friday in his preseason debut, helping lead the Brooklyn Nets in a 119-114 loss to the Toronto Raptors on the road.

Dёmin produced 14 points, five rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in nearly 19 minutes of action in their exhibition finale at Scotiabank Arena. He finished by shooting 3-of-5 from the field, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, off the bench.

The eighth pick missed the first three games of the preseason due to a plantar fascia tear he had been dealing with since summer league. He returned to practice this week, clearing the way for him to make his debut less than one week before the start of the regular season.

Dёmin checked into the game at the 10:40 mark of the second quarter, scoring 11 points alone in the period. He converted his first field goal on a cutting layup and then connected on a 3-pointer, while also going 6 of 7 from the free-throw line.

The 6-foot-9 Russian displayed his overall skill set and ability in the contest and showed the potential to eventually become the team’s starting point guard. He shot the ball confidently and dished out a few flashy, cross-court passes.

After wrapping up their preseason schedule with a 2-2 record, Dёmin and the Nets kick off the regular season Wednesday on the road against the Charlotte Hornets.
