The Oregon Ducks entered this college football season with a heavy burden of expectations, both internally from fans and nationally from analysts and the media. The weight of those expectations didn’t seem to affect the team much, until they faced off against the Indiana Hoosiers.
The Ducks offense struggled, and the Hoosiers walked out of Autzen Stadium with a 10-point win. If Oregon is truly the team they were predicted to be, then they should be motivated by what happened last week and come out fast and furious today.
They go on the road to play the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, and bettors are still expecting domination from these Ducks. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the spread has remained the same all week with Oregon being favored by minus-17 1/2 points. The moneyline odds have slightly decreased to Ducks –850, but clearly not enough to shift the spread.
The point spread has leaped up two points, now sitting at 61 1/2. The Ducks have dominated unranked opponents all year long, with every victory coming by at least 20 points. There is no guarantee that will happen against Rutgers, but it seems like all the pieces are in place for another Oregon blowout.
