ESPN’s “College GameDay” went to Samford Stadium to see the Georgia Bulldogs play the Ole Miss Rebels. The GameDay crew, including celebrity guest picker Jelly Roll, each picked the winner of Ole Miss vs. Georgia. Ole Miss is seeking to beat Georgia in Athens for the first time since 1966.
Before the event, former Georgia Bulldog kicker Rodrigo Blankenship cameoed in Pat McAfee’s “College GameDay” kicking contest. Jelly Roll invited Blankenship to kick the field goal, and of course, he kicked it between the uprights. College GameDay donated $600,000 for charity as a result.
With the picks, it was a unanimous decision. Everybody in College GameDay picked the Georgia Bulldogs to win.
Jelly Roll chose his pick to honor country music, and he brought Georgia-themed spiked shoulder pads with him. Pat McAfee teased the fanbase at College GameDay into believing he’d pick Ole Miss, but he confirmed his pick was Georgia when he sang the Georgia chant “Who’s that coming down the track?”.
Kirk Herbstreit did not pick a winner between Ole Miss and Georgia, and that is because he is the color commentator. He will be alongside Chris Fowler broadcasting the game on ESPN.
Pat McAfee’s “College GameDay” pick:
College Football is the GREATEST
WHAT’S THAT COMING DAHN THE TRACK..
IT’S THE MEAN MACHINE IN THE RED AND BLACK..
AIN’T NOTHING FINER IN THE LAND…
THAN A DRUNK OBNOXIOUS GEORGIA FAN..
