The No. 21 USC Trojans had been picking on Notre Dame Fighting Irish cornerback Christian Gray for a good portion of their matchup with No. 15 Notre Dame.
Then Gray undercut a Jayden Maiava pass and returned the interception 11 yards.
The pick stymied the Trojans and shifted momentum towards Notre Dame.
Notre Dame was unable to turn the turnover into points — the Irish drove the ball but the drive stalled out deep in USC territory and kicker Noah Burnette missed a field goal. The score remains 27-24 in favor of Notre Dame.
