Robbie Chosen is set to make his 2025 NFL debut.

The wide receiver formerly known as Robbie Anderson was elevated from the Washington Commanders‘ practice squad. He’ll suit up in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys as part of a thin WR depth chart.

Anderson had a strong preseason with the San Francisco 49ers but didn’t stick with their roster.

Chosen (then Anderson) debuted with the New York Jets in 2016. He has played nine seasons in the NFL, also including time with the Panthers, Cardinals and Dolphins.

He spent the past two seasons with Miami. He played nine games (four catches) in 2023 and just two games in 2024 with a single catch for five yards.

In his career, Chosen has played 122 games, caught 380 passes, totaled 5,087 yards and received 30 touchdowns.

The 32-year old could end up being key in an NFC East clash.

Why did Robbie Chosen change his name from Robbie Anderson?

Robbie has gone through a few different iterations of name changes, including at one point going by Chosen Anderson.

He changed the spelling of Robby to Robbie in 2022.

When he changed to Chosen Anderson in 2023, he posted on Instagram, “Those mistakes are part of my past.”

Over the summer, the now-Robbie Chosen told the Sun Sentinel why he’s going by this name now.

“God led me to that,” Chosen told the Sun Sentinel. “I wanted to re-identify myself, and just the redirection of my life, just understanding how valuable decisions are and just wanting to represent God. Just create a new legacy for my children, for them, just what I live for now.”
