Steelers send scout to check out top QB Dante Moore

If the Pittsburgh Steelers have the opportunity, we are fairly confident that the Steelers are going to use their first-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft to select the replacement for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is playing well but is on a one-year contract and will turn 42 before the end of the season. Because of this, it makes sense that the Steelers would be doing their due diligence to scout the top quarterbacks in the upcoming draft.

According to football writer Ryan Fowler, the Steelers had a representative at the Oregon vs Rutgers game. While the Ducks have several interesting draft prospects, the guy to watch is Oregon quarterback Dante Moore. Moore has taken the college football scene by storm this season and has a real chance to make a meteoric leap to the top of the first round.

Moore and the Ducks blew out Rutgers 56-10. Moore threw for 290 yards and four passing touchdowns and didn’t play the entire game. Moore also chipped in 49 yards on the ground. His game reminds us so much of current Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and his draft rise falls in line with Moore’s as well.
