New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel made his long-awaited return to Tennessee on Sunday, and Titans fans welcomed him back with “Vrabel” chants. One Titans fan even went as far as creating a sign apologizing to Vrabel for the team’s decision to fire him.
Vrabel and the Patriots went on to put a 31-13 beating on the Titans to improve their record to 5-2 on the season.
It had to be a bitter pill for Titans fans to swallow watching their former coach turn the Patriots around in his first year wth the team. This is the same Vrabel who led the Titans to an AFC Championship Game in the 2019 season, as well as winning Coach of the Year in 2021.
The Titans fired Brian Callahan, the coach who replaced Vrabel in Tennessee, earlier in the week before the game.

The Titans’ loss was ultimately the Patriots’ gain as Vrabel has transformed the culture in his first year with the team.
After enduring a losing record in three straight years, the Patriots are once again at the top of the AFC East and positioned to make their first postseason run since the 2021 season.
