Jude Bellingham made his return to the national team this Friday after Thomas Tuchel released his squad list. After weeks of tension, the two have finally buried the hatchet.

Jude Bellingham has been called up again by Thomas Tuchel this Friday. Weeks ago, things were far from smooth between the player and his coach. Tuchel did not hesitate to publicly call out the Englishman and has already proven he can get results even without relying on certain star players. Today, with this call-up, Tuchel has cooled the situation.

“Jude returns as a number 10. That’s his best position. One of his greatest strengths is scoring from that spot. He has the ability to arrive and score goals you’d expect from a number nine, which is very unusual. It may look easy, but getting into those positions is one of his outstanding qualities. We’ll try to find him space in the number 10 role so he can get forward and score those goals. Jude accepted the decision during the last camp. He did what he does best, performed at the highest level, and proved he deserves his place in the team – that’s why he’s here. I won’t reveal my private conversations with the players publicly. I don’t think it’s a surprise for him to play for us as a number 10. He knows that from me and sees himself as a number 10. His main strength in that position is finding number 9 spaces. He’s got the hunger and determination to score, and that’s what we see at Real Madrid – I hope we’ll see it here too,” said the manager at Friday’s press conference.
