Steelers sign two players to active roster ahead of Week 10

The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday night at SoFi Stadium, as both teams look to keep a 3 in the “L” column of their win-loss record. Ahead of the matchup, and in light of injuries, the Steelers have signed two players to their active roster from the practice squad.

Pittsburgh is promoting running back Trey Sermon to the active roster from the practice squad and elevating linebacker Mark Robinson from the practice squad, the team announced Saturday. Cole Holcomb will miss Week 10 due to an illness, so Robinson will be extra depth behind Patrick Queen and Payton Wilson. Sermon has appeared in three games for the Steelers this season, largely being a special teams contributor.

In addition, the Steelers signed defensive end DeMarvin Leal to their practice squad after releasing him on Thursday.
