Dakorien Moore ruled out for Oregon Ducks game vs. Iowa Hawkeyes

Typically, when a team has a bye week during the middle of a season, it comes out of it healthier than it previously was, having used the time to rest and prepare for the stretch run of the season.

That apparently wasn’t the case for the Oregon Ducks during their Week 10 bye.

According to the official availability report that was released on Saturday morning, Oregon will be without a handful of key players dinged up or out for Saturday’s game against the No. 20 Iowa Hawkeyes.

The most notable name on the list for Oregon is true freshman wide receiver Dakorien Moore, who has been ruled out for this game. A report earlier on Saturday from ESPN’s Pete Thamel shows that Moore suffered an injury earlier this week in practice, leading up to this game. There are currently no confirmations as to how much time Moore will miss, but any time without the leading receiver, who has 28 catches for 443 yards and three touchdowns, is tough to manage.

The Ducks also have TE Kenyon Sadiq, OT Alex Harkey, and LB Devon Jackson listed as questionable for this game.

In a game where Oregon was already going to be pushed to its limits by Iowa’s stout defense, losing this number of offensive starters is incredibly detrimental to their chances of winning on the road in a tough environment like Kinnick Stadium.
