No. 10 Notre Dame is now officially rolling at home against the Navy Midshipmen.
The Fighting Irish have taken a 42-10 lead on a rainy fall Saturday. The first half was competitive, but the second has been all Notre Dame.
That’s because the Fighting Irish defense has stepped up — and so has the offense.
Quarterback CJ Carr found tight end Ty Washington for a four-yard touchdown pass to wrap up a six-play, 49-yard drive that chewed up 3:21 of clock.
There’s still a lot of football left to play — Notre Dame has more than a quarter to salt this one away — but if trends continue, the Irish should cruise to victory.
