There are 46 golf courses used for the PGA Tour’s 39 tournaments in 2025. Did you know only three measure less than 7,000 yards?

The course that is hosting this week, Port Royal in Southampton, Bermuda, home of the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship, is the shortest of them all.

The longest golf course the PGA Tour players contended with in 2025 was the South Course at Torrey Pines, which played a beefy 7,765 yards along the coast in La Jolla. It was the only course that stretched out beyond 7,700 yards.

As for those that are shorter than 7,000 yards:

  • Port Royal: 6,828 yards, par 71 (Butterfield Bermuda Championship)
  • TPC River Highlands: 6,844 yards, par 70 (The Travelers Championship)
  • Pebble Beach Golf Links: 6,972 yards, par 72 (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am)

While it might be the shortest on the PGA Tour, Port Royal is the longest of the 10 golf courses in Bermuda. It’s also one of just two public golf courses on the island.

Where does Port Royal rank according to the Golfweek Raters?

Port Royal is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design that opened in 1970. Roger Rulewich completed a renovation of the course a little more than a decade ago. It ranks 30th on the Golfweek’s Best Top 50 courses in Mexico, Caribbean, Atlantic islands and Central America.

The golf course features a long par 3 along the water. The 16th plays 235 yards, and you simply cannot miss left on that hole. It’s one of several holes alongside the Atlantic Ocean.
