FRANKLIN LAKES – Ramapo needed a reset.
Not so much due to poor play, but because its upperclassmen and captains felt the team could benefit from a readjustment following a 3-2 loss to River Dell in the regular season on Oct. 30.
With the postseason quickly approaching, the reigning sectional champions needed a retune to get back to championship form.
The reset is just what the captains ordered as Ramapo captured its second straight sectional crown by defeating Randolph in three sets, 25-21, 25-20, 25-17 in the North 1, Group 3 title game on Nov. 11.
The Raiders advance to the Group 3 state semifinals to face Millburn on Nov. 13 in Franklin Lakes. The Millers swept Scotch-Plains Fanwood in three sets in the North 2, Group 3 sectional final.
