Broncos injury report: Thursday statuses for J.K. Dobbins and Pat Surtain

Denver Broncos starting running back J.K. Dobbins (foot) and star cornerback Pat Surtain (pec) did not practice on Thursday, putting their statuses in doubt for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Broncos coach Sean Payton has not revealed details of Dobbins’ injury or recovery timeline, but with the team reportedly considering injured reserve, the running back is presumably expected to miss multiple games. RJ Harvey is set to start while Dobbins is sidelined.

Surtain, meanwhile, appears poised to miss a third straight game. Kris Abrams-Draine has been playing across from Riley Moss as the team’s No. 2 outside cornerback with rookie Jahdae Barron rotating in.

Elsewhere on the injury front, linebacker Alex Singleton (illness) and outside linebacker Jonah Elliss (hamstring) also did not practice Thursday. Tight end Nate Adkins (knee) stretched with the team before working on a side field and wide receiver Trent Sherfield (toe) returned to practice.

Denver’s complete Thursday injury report will be added below when it becomes available later today.

The Broncos are set to practice again on Friday before releasing a final injury report with game statuses for Sunday’s showdown with the Chiefs.
