Iowa football injury update: Hawkeyes healthy entering LA

For one of the first times all season, Iowa is nearly fully healthy heading into a game.

With a tough opponent like USC standing in their way, the Hawkeyes need all hands on deck to go on the road and knock off the Trojans. And the pregame injury report bodes very well for Iowa in that regard.

Iowa is only down two players heading into this game, while the Trojans are dealing with a multitude of injuries at some key positions.

For the Hawkeyes, only two players were ruled out for this game. Wide receiver Jarriett Buie has been out all season long and will not make his season debut on Saturday. Tight end Addison Ostrenga suffered a season-ending injury in week two against Iowa State, so he’s out as well.

The Trojans are dealing with a lot more issues on the injury front, with six players ruled out for Saturday’s game and another four listed as questionable. The following Trojans are out for this pivotal game against the Hawkeyes:

  • WR Zacharyus Williams
  • DL Jamaal Jarrett
  • RB Eli Sanders
  • LB Anthony Beavers Jr.
  • DB Prophet Brown
  • DB Chosen Johnson (out for the season)

These four Trojans are listed as questionable for the game:

  • RB Waymond Jordan
  • RB Harry Dalton III
  • K Caden Chittenden
  • OL J’Onre Reed

The Hawkeyes and Trojans will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CST from Los Angeles. The game can be seen on BTN.
