Bishop Boswell is out for Tennessee basketball against Rice with an injury.

The sophomore guard is missing his second straight game as the No. 18 Vols (3-0) host Rice (2-2) at Food City Center on Nov. 17 (8:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network). He did not play in UT’s 99-66 win against North Florida on Nov. 12 with a right foot injury.

Vols coach Rick Barnes indicated Boswell’s foot was stepped on during UT’s 95-56 win against Northern Kentucky on Nov. 8.

It is unclear if Boswell is dealing with the same injury or if it is a different injury.

The 6-4 Boswell is averaging 5.5 points and 6.5 rebounds. The sophomore is shooting 60% on 3-pointers.
