USC moves up to No. 16 in latest college football AP Poll after taking down Iowa

Last week, USC came in at No. 17 in the college football AP Poll. Following their victory over Iowa Saturday, the resilient Trojans moved up one spot and are now ranked No. 16.

USC jumped ahead of Texas, who fell from No. 10 all the way down to No. 17 after being blown out by Georgia Saturday evening. Elsewhere, however, it was not a huge weekend of movement, as no other teams either surpassed or fell behind the Trojans.

USC is one of five Big Ten teams ranked in the top 25. Ohio State and Indiana held firm atop the rankings at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively. Oregon moved up one spot to No. 6, while Michigan remained at No. 18.

This upcoming weekend, the Trojans will travel up to Eugene to take on the Ducks. It will be a massive opportunity for the Trojans to earn a victory over a top ten team, stay alive in the Big Ten championship race, and significantly boost their College Football Playoff resume.
