Nebraska football is looking to host a top junior college pass rusher at the end of the month. Class of 2026 three-star edge defender Taylor Schaefer will visit the program on November 28. This was reported by On3’s Bryan Munson on Sunday.
Schaefer is highly regarded in the junior college ranks. He is the 40th overall player, third overall linebacker, and third overall player in his class from the state of Wisconsin per the 247Sports Composite Juco rankings. He has a solid offer sheet that includes Arkansas, Kentucky, Iowa, Minnesota, and Purdue, among others.
He is currently playing for Iowa Central Community College and has had a strong season. He has recorded 97 tackles and five sacks to go along with an interception. There is still one game left in the season, and a chance for him to add to his numbers.
The Huskers could benefit from some edge depth for the 2026 season. Schaefer is one of the more highly-regarded players in the junior college ranks and he would be a solid start to addressing the depth issue for the program.
