According to NFL sideline reporter Evan Washburn, via ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is out this week versus the Chicago Bears. This means it will be veteran Mason Rudolph getting the start in Chicago and rookie Will Howard will serve as his backup.
The Steelers had teased the availability of Rodgers all week after suffering a wrist injury in the team’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals last week. Rodgers was able to avoid surgery but was unable to get to a point where he was healthy enough to go and would be safe enough to protect the wrist from further injury.

Rudolph at quarterback shouldn’t drastically change the Steelers plans. Injuries decimate the Bears’ defense, and we expect Pittsburgh to come out and really work to establish the run with all the Chicago linebackers out and give Rudolph plenty of safe opportunities to throw the ball.
