The opening matchday of the 2025/2026 CAF Champions League group stage wrapped up on Sunday, following three days of high-octane football action on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The headline of the day was Al Ahly of Egypt’s emphatic 4-1 victory over Algeria’s JS Kabylie. Meanwhile, Espérance Sportive de Tunis were held to a goalless draw at home against Stade Malien.
