Barcelona phenom could hit special UCL milestone against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge

Barcelona’s win over Athletic Club at the weekend saw the team receive several boosts, right from the return to Spotify Camp Nou to welcoming back Raphinha and Joan Garcia from injury.

That, coupled with the fact that Real Madrid dropped points last night, gives Barcelona the right platform to kick off the next phase of the season in the best possible manner.

Their next challenge lies at Stamford Bridge, where they will take on Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League, and all eyes will be on the forward trio who will be reunited after a long.

A chance at history

Lamine Yamal has been struggling with pubalgia since the beginning of the season, but he has improved in recent weeks and will be looking to leave a mark in the game against Chelsea tomorrow night.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the youngster has yet another chance to make history on the night as he is within touching distance of Kylian Mbappe’s record for the most goals scored in the competition before the age of 19.

Currently 18 years and 135 days of age, Yamal has seven UEFA Champions League goals to his name already and needs just three more goals to match the Real Madrid star’s record.

A hat-trick at Stamford Bridge, needless to say, would be a memorable way to hit that milestone and even give him time to stretch out his lead.

The player turns 19 only in July of next year, giving him virtually the entirety of the ongoing campaign to level and exceed Mbappe’s tally in the competition.

Given his influence and talent, it is almost a given that Yamal will break that record.

To do it tomorrow night will be memorable, although very difficult given how Chelsea have been in a good run of form so far.

They have won four of their last five games across all competitions and currently have the same number of points as Barcelona in the competition.
