Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken probably infuriated the pilgrims with his selfish ideals and stubborn play-calling on Thanksgiving. The Cincinnati Bengals pummeled the Ravens 32-14 because Monken refuses to learn from his mistakes. After a four-game winning streak in which his rushing attack reigned supreme, he reverted to the idiotic formula that continues to hold the franchise back from greatness.
After running back Derrick Henry trampled the Cincinnati Bengals’ defense for a 28-yard touchdown in the first quarter, it seemed relatively obvious that Monken had found the perfect seasonings to marinate a fatigued foe. Yet, Henry was given just nine additional carries after the touchdown while Monken searched every cabinet in the kitchen for unnecessary products to put together his terrible passing attack. Monken is pretty much ruining quarterback Lamar Jackson at this point, getting him sacked repeatedly and forcing him into a five-step drop scheme that works better with the quick pass.

The Ravens’ offense gave up three sacks, five turnovers, and had no punts yesterday. When will things register for Monken? When will he give it up? Why are fans forced to watch him do the same moronic thing and then fixate on creating some intricate explanation as to why his expertise somehow omits him from the facts of his indicative stat line? Jackson had 15 incompletions against what was statistically the worst defense in the NFL until week 13. Monken thinks he’s a genius, and it’s becoming a full-fledged delusion as the Ravens fall to 6-6 on the season. The Ravens rank No. 22 in the NFL in third-down conversion rates, and it’s time Monken takes a strong look in the mirror.
