The Denver Broncos have ruled out tight end Nate Adkins (knee) for a Sunday Night Football showdown with the Washington Commanders in Week 13.
Sunday will mark the fourth straight game that Adkins has missed. Denver elevated veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis from the practice squad for the previous three games, but Lewis has maxed out his elevations. So if the Broncos want Lewis to serve as TE3 on Sunday, he will have to be fully promoted to the active roster by Saturday.
Elsewhere on the injury front, cornerback Pat Surtain (pec) and inside linebacker Alex Singleton (illness) have been cleared to play, while outside linebacker Jonah Elliss (hamstring) is listed as questionable.
Surtain missed the team’s last three games and Singleton missed one game after undergoing successful surgery to remove testicular cancer earlier this month.
