ABILENE, Texas, Nov. 28 — The No. 12/SN No. 7 Allen [TX] Eagles look to keep their state and national championship hopes alive against the unranked Permian [Odessa, TX] Panthers Friday night in the Texas UIL Class 6A Division I playoffs.
Allen enters the game in control of its own destiny in the Texas playoffs just like the Panthers. The Eagles, however, are still alive in the race for the national title where they need some help.
But they have to take care of business against a solid Permian squad that has a state-championship tradition of its own to uphold.
