DC United: Christian Benteke leaves
Christian Benteke is no longer part of DC United. His contract has expired, and the club chose not to trigger the extension option.
But this isn’t the end of the story! The club is still in talks with his representatives about a new deal. Negotiations could continue until December 10. Benteke remains a seasoned striker, renowned for his stints at Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Liverpool, and for clinching the title with Standard Liège back in 2009.

Here’s Benteke’s record at DC United: three and a half years at the club, 100 matches played, 49 goals, 11 assists, and captain until the very end. Now, the big question remains—will he stay in the United States or seek a new challenge elsewhere?
Grateful for 3 years with D.C. United. Thank you for everything.
