Michigan football signing day tracker: Live updates all day 2026 class

Though the transfer portal has certainly changed the game, recruiting is still the lifeblood of any college football program. And Michigan football still puts the onus on high school recruiting much more than it does the transfer portal.

Wednesday marks early signing day, and players will likely start making their signings official as early as 7 a.m. EST.

Here is the class expected to sign on Wednesday:

  • Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga five-star EDGE Carter Meadows (No. 6 overall, 2nd EDGE, 1st in D.C.)
  • Mineral (Va.) Louisa County five-star RB Savion Hiter (No. 8 overall, 1st RB, 1st in Virginia)
  • Irmo (S.C.) Dutch Fork four-star EDGE Julian Walker (No. 96 overall, 10th EDGE, 3rd in South Carolina)
  • Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith four-star WR Travis Johnson (No. 107 overall, 14th WR, 3rd in Virginia)
  • St. Louis (Mo.) DeSmet four-star DL Titan Davis (No. 114 overall, 13th DL, 2nd in Missouri)
  • Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha four-star OT Malakai Lee (No. 144 overall, 14th OT, 2nd in Hawaii)

The only real question is borderline five-star Julian Walker, who is the target of South Carolina’s desire, given that his father is on-staff with the Gamecocks.
