The Wolverines have officially secured 2026 four-star offensive lineman Marky Walbridge, as he signed with Michigan Football on Wednesday.

Recruiting journey
A player whose offers outweigh their ranking screams one thing: potential. Walbridge is viewed as a swing lineman who can play multiple positions at the next level. With offers from the biggest schools in the SEC and Big Ten, Walbridge narrowed down his list and took official visits to Penn State, Wisconsin, Boston College, Alabama and Michigan. Despite being the first team of these suitors on his radar, Penn State could not capitalize on the numerous visits he took there. Five days after he officially visited Ann Arbor, he committed to the Wolverines on June 25 and never looked back.
Scouting report
From On3’s E.J. Holland: “I had a chance to evaluate Walbridge live at his spring showcase last spring, and he’s a legitimate 6-foot-5.5 with good feet. While Walbridge has been considered a swing prospect, Michigan really likes him at tackle. I can definitely see him starting off inside before working his way out. It should be noted that I haven’t seen Walbridge in a year, so I’m excited to see how he’s progressing and how his body is shaping out. I can say that Michigan has always had him in the top tier on their board.”
Expectations
Walbridge is the second-rated offensive tackle in Michigan’s class and has the feet to make him a starter on either the interior or the perimeter. Although a long-term tackle prospect in Michigan’s eyes, Walbridge will likely redshirt as he works on his grown-man body and will enter the fold as a reserve/rotational lineman in 2027. With the positional log jams beginning to sort themselves out as players move on to the next level, Walbridge could be a starting candidate in 2028.
