Marcus Thuram and Andy Diouf starred in Inter Milan’s remarkable 5-1 home victory over Venezia in the Coppa Italia.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 28-year-old was Inter’s best player last night.
Marcus Thuram had to wait for almost three months for his first competitive goal due to a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Indeed, the French striker picked up a hamstring injury during Inter’s 3-0 rout of Slavia Prague in late September.
However, he finally broke the drought last night with a game-winning brace.

In addition to Thuram’s impressive exploits, Inter fans witnessed Andy Diouf at his best for the first time this season.
Despite making his first start in Italian football in December, the 22-year-old immediately made an impact.
Though Cristian Chivu played the former Lens midfielder out of position, Diouf excelled as a wingback.
Indeed, he broke the deadlock in the 18th minute with a superb run down the middle before finishing with his weaker right foot.
