On Saturday night, there were not necessarily many positives to take away from the Alabama Crimson Tide‘s 28-7 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2025 SEC Championship Game.
An all around rough showing, Alabama never led against the Bulldogs in the rematch between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs on Saturday, and eventually trailed 14-0 at halftime. Those struggles continued into the second half also, with Alabama eventually falling in a game where the Crimson Tide’s offense struggled mightily.
However, when taking a look back at Saturday’s contest, were there any positives to take away for the Crimson Tide in particular, and if so, what?
Following is the latest stock report, which takes a look at three Alabama players on the rise following their showing against Georgia in Saturday’s SEC Championship Game.
Germie Bernard, Wide Receiver, Senior
Bernard one of the few positives offensively for Alabama on Saturday night, leading the Crimson Tide in receiving. The senior wide receiver finished the game with six receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown, averaging 10.3 yards per reception.
Nikhai Hill-Green, Inside Linebacker, Graduate Student
The graduate student inside linebacker led Alabama’s defense with seven total tackles Saturday against Georgia. Four of Hill-Green’s seven total tackles were solo, and the inside linebacker also made an impact elsewhere via 0.5 TFL, as well as a team-high two pass defenses.
Yhonzae Pierre, Outside Linebacker, Redshirt Sophomore
Lastly, Pierre was also among Alabama’s top tacklers defensively in the 28-7 loss to Georgia. Pierre finished with five total tackles, all five of which were solo to lead the team, while also making one TFL and one pass defense.
