Jayden Reed’s return to the Green Bay Packers was a success.
And he’s showing his gratitude.
“Thank you God!” Reed wrote with a prayer hand emoji an hour after the Packers’ 28-21 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Dec. 7, at Lambeau Field in his first game in nearly three months.
Reed had been out of action since early in the second game of the season on Thursday, Sept. 11, against the Washington Commanders.
The Packers’ third-year wideout sustained a broken collarbone after falling to the ground while attempting a catch. He had surgery on that injury as well as to repair the Jones fracture in his left foot that he had been battling since training camp.
Thank you God! ππΎ

The offense wasn’t the same without him, though it’s starting to get whole again. He and Christian Watson, who missed the first part of the season with his own injury, played on the field for the first time together against the Bears. Reed first returned to practice Nov. 21, giving him three weeks to be activated. His presence on Dec. 7 was immediately felt.
The Packers‘ first play on offense – a 5-yard pass from Jordan Love – was designed for Reed. It was just like old times for the team’s leading receiver in each of his first two seasons.
Three plays later, the dynamic Reed took an end-around for seven yards to get a first down.
Later in the game, coach Matt LaFleur turned to Reed to jumpstart drives. His 15-yard run began a four-play, 63-yard touchdown drive in the third quarter that put the Packers ahead, 21-11.
And Reed caught an 18-yard crossing route across the field to the right sideline on the second play of what turned into the game-winning touchdown drive.
For the game, he caught all four of his targets.
