The New York Giants hosted a large free agent workout on Tuesday in East Rutherford, with the focus largely on punters.
Those who took the field at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center were punters Jake Camarda, Cameron Johnston, Pat O’Donnell, Brad Robbins, and Ryan Stonehouse, and defensive lineman Niko Lalos.

The 33-year-old Johnston originally signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Ohio State in 2017. In addition to his time with the Iggles (2017-2020), he’s also made stops with the Houston Texans (2021-2023), Pittsburgh Steelers (2024), and Buffalo Bills (2025).
The Bills released Johnston off injured reserve (IR) on November 12 with a settlement. He had suffered an injury to his planting foot in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints.
In 99 career games, Johnston has punted 454 times for 21,440 yards (47.2 yards per punt) with 185 of those being downed inside of the 20-yard line and just 28 going for a touchback.
If Jamie Gillan (undisclosed) is unable to play on Sunday, Johnston will be a likely elevation.
