Texas A&M softball is making strides to become a force on the college softball scene again, and coach Trisha Ford is entering a crucial season as she leads her fourth roster fully recruited by her staff. Her success has earned her a top-ten class, with five of the seven signees ranked among the top 100 nationally.
When all was said and done, she secured the No. 8 class in the nation while competing in the toughest league in college softball. The class consists of six four-star recruits, with four ranked in the top 50 and two recognized as the best players in their respective states. It’s a versatile group with talent across the field, providing valuable depth for future teams.
Star player Mya Perez, who has been with Coach Ford from the beginning and is now one of the veterans, emphasized what signing a top-ten class means for the program:
“Signing a top-10 class just shows where our program is headed. People on the outside are finally seeing what we feel inside the program and recruits want to be part of it. It brings even more competition, even more talent, and it pushes all of us to keep raising the standard. It also shows that our coaches are always continuing to build our program.”
Across the board, Aggie athletics is making strides to become one of the premier destinations not only for an elite education but also for competing for national titles in multiple sports. The softball team has improved each season, and the future looks increasingly promising. Below is the 2026 signing class.
